Two sisters, the last of their kind who live in hiding on their ravaged land, squabble about how to survive with the Empire encroaching. On a water run, the sisters must fight back when they are discovered.

Together with Lucasfilms, we developed an original short film based on the Star Wars universe, but with strong inspiration from our Latin American roots. In The Stars was created to honor the heritage of the Kawésqar , Aonikenk, and Selk’nam people. The story of Tichina and Koten, two sisters who survive an imperial invasion by embracing their connection with their ancestors, is a reflection of our own history as Latin Americans. It is currently available for streaming on Disney+
