Malpaso (which literally means “wrong step”) is a chilean brand of pisco for which we made four pieces telling four different stories: an explorer that is on the lookout for treasure, a scuba-diver taking pictures of the bottom of the sea, a parachuter jumping from a plane and a brave knight getting ready for battle. What ties all these tales together is that all their protagonists “take a wrong step” that ultimately leads them to a better result than what fate had stored for them. Then, the slogan of the campaign would appear, telling the audience that “a wrong step can be your best step”.
We made this commercial to promote Malpaso’s new bottles, each of which was a specific color. We associated the blue bottle with the knight, the red one with the parachuter, the green one was the explorer and the black one was the scuba-diver.
